In 2017 we designed the NS presentation 'Train of tomorrow' at the Dutch Design Week. For the edition of 2018 it was time to envision 'Tomorrow's journey', a concept used by NS to explain that the travel experience expands further than the train and its stations.
"For tomorrow's journey we are busy today to ensure that we are ready for the customer needs of the future. We do not only focus on the train journey. The travel experience already starts at home and goes further than your end station. We want to inspire travelers and continue to innovate ourselves. Of course we cannot do this alone. That is why we would like to invite you to test and think with us."
We literally designed the exhibition as a journey. People traveled to the various subjects by following the train tracks. From the VR Experience to the Buitenpoorten-project and from the What if Lab to the Huiskamer.
